Safe Shelters is committed to improving unsafe homes and living conditions within Huatulco. When we learn of a need—such as a roof damaged in a storm—we promptly investigate to verify the situation. Once confirmed, we share details of the need along with the cost of materials, and often, a generous donor steps forward to cover the expense.
With materials in hand, Safe Shelters organizes a team of local residents, sometimes joined by expats, to complete the repair. Together, we’re helping to create secure, stable homes for those most in need.
